A couple quotes I like about the benefits of a positive attitude:
"The problem is not the problem; the problem is your attitude about the problem." Captain Jack Sparrow, actor Pirates of the Caribbean
"A positive attitude gives you power over your circumstances instead of your circumstances having power over you. You cannot have positive life with a negative mind." Joyce Meyer, minister
"Once you replace negative thoughts with positive thoughts you'll start having positive results." Willie Nelson, singer and song writer
"A lot of times people look at the negative side of what they feel they can't do. I always look on the positive side of what I can do." Chuck Norris, actor, a three time winner of middle weight champion martial arts.
"The greatness of a man is not in how much wealth he acquires, but in his integrity and his ability to affect those around him positively." Bob Marley, singer and song writer.
Going through your day with a negative attitude usually brings with it more negativity. Like attracts like. But the contrary is true for having a positive attitude. Who wants to even be around someone that has a woe is me way about themselves? Not me this is for sure!
You know that feeling you have when you're around someone and you can't wait to get away from them? They're bringing you down and they're draining your positive energy to boot! I know we've all known someone like this at one point or another. You avoid their calls but then feel bad because it's not nice in some way and you don't want to be unkind. It's not who you are.
But think how much better life is with a simple change of attitude. The air is fresher, people around you appear more welcome, and most importantly there is a shift in your mind to the better. I believe you even think clearer with a more open way of looking at things. Plus you work better and more efficiently.
To me this is obvious but perhaps not to someone with a negative attitude. I wonder if they realize they have one. Maybe not or they don't realize the benefit of having a positive attitude?
